Facility Support
Lunch and Refresment Stations:
On all routes, you will find a lunch station and one or more refreshment stations. At the refreshment stations, you can get a drink and a snack. Think of a stroopwafel, banana, or gingerbread. At the lunch station, you can have your lunch. Volunteers will be ready with bread, soup/broth, fruit, and something to drink. Both volunteers and challengers can enjoy the lunch and refreshments free of charge. These are funded by the registration fee and sponsors.
Bike repairs:
If any small repairs are needed unexpectedly, you can visit our own mechanic, Leo van de Waardt. The mechanic is located on the main road of the campsite, near house number 10 (organization). For major repairs, you can go to the bike shop across from the campsite. This French mechanic speaks good English and will do everything possible to get your bike ready for the next challenge day. However, it’s important that you go to the mechanic as soon as you notice any issues.
Address of the mechanic:
L’ETAPE DES PYRENEES 12 avenue des Pyrénées 65400 Argelès-Gazost – France (tegenover de camping)
Opening Hours:
Monday to Saturday 9 am – 12 am 2 pm – 7 pm
Massage:
Several masseurs offer targeted massages, along with medical taping, white taping, and sports care if necessary. They will be available daily at the lunch stations and on the campsite.
A minimum contribution of €5.00 is requested on the campsite. This contribution goes to the good cause, and the transportation and materials are funded through this. An enrollment list will be used to avoid long waiting times.
Photography and film:
Photographers Richard Broekhuizen and his team will be present during the challenge. You will also see Thomas's drone flying regularly. During the challenge, we will announce how you can obtain the photos.
